The Maasai Ostrich Farm was established in 1991 as a private ranch house. Initially, 50 ostriches were acquired from Three-Point Farm in Magadi, marking the start of ostrich farming in 1992. In 2002, the farm expanded into a resort with the addition of tented camps and conference facilities, enhancing its appeal as a tourism and hospitality destination.
